Introduction | The records of the First United Presbyterian Church, Fremont, Ohio, were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, in July, 1985, with the cooperation of William Weiss. The collection includes six volumes of session records, dating from 1833 to 1923, which contain minutes, financial reports, membership lists, baptisms, marriages and deaths. Similar membership information is found in the one volume of membership records. Seven volumes of women's missionary society minutes complete the collection. The minutes document the activities of the Women's Home Missionary Society (1886-1893), the Women's Home and Foreign Missionary Societies (1907-1921), the Women's Inter-denominational Missionary Society (1911-1938), and the Women's Missionary Society (1922-1946). No restrictions exist on the research use of this collection. The finding aid was prepared by Frederick Honneffer in August 1985. |
