Henry Caspar Uhlman (1842-1923) was born June 3, 1842 in Hanover, Germany, one of the children of Caspar Hermann and Maria Luise Hacke Uhlmann. His parents brought the family to the United States in 1843 and settled near Woodville, in Sandusky County, Ohio.
